The purpose of this paper is to study the devices which can explain the existence of the passive construction Nominatiuus cum Infinitiuo (NcI) in Latin. The evendence of the data makes it possible to assume that NcI construction is the regular passive transformation of double nominal complements when the main verb is impressive, while a predicative complement structure is in the origin of NcI when a declarative verb is concerned. It is suggested as conclusion that this kind of passive obeys to the same transformative devices as all passive structures.
