Abstract

El Patrimonio Histórico no se puede proteger si no se valora, no se puede valorar si no se conoce y solo se puede conocer si se difunde y se educa en su conocimiento, en su valoración y en su protección, una protección que encuentra en la aplicación de la Ley la mejor herramienta para luchar contra la ilegalidad y conseguir que el Patrimonio esté en las mejores manos, las manos de quienes lo convirtieron en su principal contribución a la civilización universal

Cultural Heritage cannot be protected if it is not valued; it cannot be duly valued if it is not known and it can only be known if it is disseminated and the people are educated on its knowledge, on its value and on its protection. Statutes are the best tool to protect heritage because they help to fight illicit behaviour towards cultural heritage. Moreover, statutes ensure that heritage is in good hands, namely the hands of those who made their main contribution to world civilization precisely by means of their cultural heritage
