Problemas de atribución y crítica textual de la comedia "Cautelas son amistades": Godínez frente a Moreto

Abstract

La transmisión de las comedias en el siglo de Oro es un proceso muy complejo en que un texto podía sufrir muchas modificaciones, algunas de las cuales tenían que ver con falsas atribuciones de autoría. Este trabajo nace del cotejo ecdótico de los ocho testimonios que se conservan de la comedia barroca Cautelas son amistades, cinco atribuidos a Felipe Godínez (todos impresos, y entre ellos uno desconocido hasta ahora), y tres a Agustín Moreto (dos impresos y un manuscrito). Dicho estudio nos ofrece datos objetivos y tangibles que permiten confirmar a Felipe Godínez como autor de la comedia, así como hacer una hipótesis sobre su transmisión textual

The transmission of comedies in the Golden Age is a very complex process. The text could suffer many variations, some of them related to false authorship. This paper was born from the ecdotic collation of the eight existing versions of the baroque comedy Cautelas son amistades. Five of them had been entitled to Felipe Godínez (all of them printed, one not even known until now) and the other three to Agustín Moreto (two printed ones and a manuscript). This work reveals objective and tangible data which confirm Felipe Godínez as the author of the comedy and made possible the elaboration of a hypothesis on its textual transmission
