En ese período la Federación Anarquista Ibérica se reveló como un organismo fundamental en los debates en el seno del movimiento libertario en torno a la alianza obrera y al pacto con los socialistas Notwithstanding that anarchism in Madrid starts at the same time as the Second Republic, in a position of organizational minority, the new regime was used by the libertarian organizations to become the main actors in the development of the working movement. During this period, the Iberian Anarchist Federation revealed itself as a key body in the libertarian movement debates about the idea of an alliance of workers and the deal with the socialists
