Historia y Literatura: El surgimiento del Estado y el príncipe nuevo en la novela eslovena Alamut

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es el de reconocer y analizar los aspectos de un Estado moderno en Alamut, la obra literaria del autor esloveno Vladimir Bartol. Con este fin se buscarán las posibles relaciones de este escrito con El Príncipe de Nicolás Maquiavelo como fuente primaria que inspiró a la construcción del personaje principal de la obra. Debido a que el texto del esloveno ―situado en el siglo XI d. C.―, fue escrito después de la Primera Guerra Mundial, antes de reconocer los elementos del tratado renacentista en la novela eslovena se procederá a dar cuenta de discusiones en torno al contexto de producción y su posible influencia en la realización de la historia

The aim of this article is to analyze the aspects of a modern state in Vladimir Bartol’s Slovenian novel Alamut. In that sense, we will provide elements to find possible connections between the mentioned novel and Machiavelli’s political writing The Prince, which was used as a primary source to give life to the main character of Bartol. Considering that Alamut is set in the 11th century a.d. was written after the First World War, we will describe and expose the debates that may be raised about the direct or indirect influence on the context of Bartol’s writing. Finally, we will proceed to make an analysis between both works in order to find any elements of the political writing on the Slovenian novel
