Evolución de las temperaturas invernales en la segunda mitad del siglo XVI en un sector del Sistema Central español

Abstract

Se realiza una reconstrucción de las condiciones de temperatura invernal que existieron en el área analizada a partir de las informaciones contenidas en diversas fuentes documentales durante la segunda mitad del siglo XVI. Los resultados muestran unas condiciones térmicas invernales diferentes a las actuales, que se mantienen en la mayor parte de los años considerados por debajo de la media de referencia. Asimismo la gran variabilidad en la distribución anual de los valores térmicos permite diferenciar varios subgrupos de años con comportamiento térmico específico

This paper studies the relationship between cold events and the evolution of the environment in the central area of the Iberian Peninsula in the second half of the XVI century. A large number of historical documents were consulted in order to carry out this research. The results show winter thermal conditions different from current ones that, for the most part, stay below the reference average. Likewise, the wide range of variability in the annual distribution of the thermic values allows us to identify various subgroups consisting of those years with specific behaviour of temperatures
