En el cincuenta aniversario de su independencia, Argelia afronta un periodo de reformas marcadas por la tímida
reacción de su población tras el estallido de la Primavera Árabe hace ahora dos años. Este artículo tiene por objetivo
repasar los principales acontecimientos históricos que han contado con la participación de las mujeres dentro de la
sociedad civil y analizar la evolución de su estatuto de ciudadanas hasta la actualidad. Las perspectivas de cambio
que el contexto regional viene imponiendo deberían influir en una mejora de su visibilidad. Éstas representan un
valor activo y son pieza clave dentro de una sociedad que ha sufrido profundos cambios en su estructura tradicional On the fiftieth anniversary of its independence, Algeria faces a period of reforms, marked by a very slight reaction
of its population after the outbreak of the Arab Spring two years ago. The objective of this article is to revisit the
main historical events which had the participation of women inside the civil society and analyze the evolution of
women status, as citizens, to nowadays.The expectations created of a change, supported by the regional context,
should influence positively improving women visibility. These represent a real asset and are key values in a society
that has suffered deep changes in its traditional structure
