Abstract

En la presente investigación se analiza el intento de creación de un virreinato en Tierra Firme a mediados del siglo XVII (1650). Esta reforma se lleva a cabo en un momento en el que la Monarquía estaba en un proceso de justificación política. En todos los reinos hispanos se produjeron reformas que fueron las bases del sistema político borbónico
 
In this research is analyzed the attempt to create a viceroyalty in Tierra Firme in the middle of seventeenth century (1650). This reform is carried out in a time when the monarchy was in a process of political justification. In all hispanic kingdoms there were reforms which they were the bases of bourbon political system
