Programa de intervención neuropsicológica en el trastorno por déficit de atención e hiperactividad

Abstract

La naturaleza multidimensional de los problemas cognitivos que presentan los niños requiere el desarrollo de programas de rehabilitación que incluyan técnicas de intervención ecológicas. El empleo del juego como herramienta de intervención es de gran utilidad ya que implica varios procesos cognitivos y es motivador para el menor. El objetivo de este estudio es el desarrollo de un programa de rehabilitación de la atención ecológica para niños que presentan trastorno por déficit de atención e hiperactividad (TDAH). El grupo está compuesto por dieciséis niños con TDAH, 8 llevaron a cabo el programa durante 3 meses. Los otros 8 niños con TDAH únicamente tuvieron un tratamiento farmacológico. A ambos grupos se les aplicó el CSAT antes y después del tratamiento. Los niños del grupo experimental obtuvieron un menor número de errores en el CSAT que el grupo control

The multidimensional nature of the deficits presented by children referred for neuropsychological rehabilitation requires the development of ecological rehabilitations techniques. When designing a rehabilitation programme for children, strategies where "games" are involved should be used because playing is an active form of learning that comprises several cognitive processes. The main aim of this study is to develop an ecological rehabilitation programme for children with attention problems taking this theoretical approach into account. Sixteen children with ADHD will be included in this project. Eight of these children will be trained with the novel ecological method for a period of 3 months (1 hour session per week) and the other 8 will receive pharmacological treatment. Children's attention skills will be measured before and after the implementation of the rehabilitation programme. A rehabilitation programme that combines daily life activities and games might be helpful in overcoming such difficulties
