The educative guidance established for the Spanish Secondary Education in 1990 was a evident election to
break the psychological reductionism in this field. From that time, the guidance counsellor is considered as
a participant (co-worker) by means of his collaboration with the various means of schools for the
development of the curriculum and to facilitate students its access.
This article deals with the functions adjudged to the Educational Counselling Team in Spain, mainly to the
guidance counsellor, and also analyzes how they are put in the framework of the curriculum of Secondary
Education Schools with a view to creating the best conditions for the learning as the essence of the
educative guidance.
