Intervenciones enfermeras para el manejo del estrés en padres de niños prematuros en UCIN

Abstract

El ingreso de un niño prematuro en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales supone un gran estrés para sus padres. Esta unidad ha experimentado diversos cambios en sus rutinas durante los últimos años entre las que se incluyen unos cuidados centrados en el desarrollo del neonato pero también el cuidado de la familia. Existen ciertas intervenciones que benefician tanto al bebé como a los padres y que podrían minimizar la experimentación del estrés en los mismos. Objetivo: identificar las intervenciones enfermeras ante el estrés en padres con niños prematuros en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales. Metodología: Se han realizado búsquedas bibliográficas en las bases de datos Pubmed, Cinahl, Medline y en Google académico y scholar. Conclusiones: Es necesario desarrollar intervenciones para disminuir el estrés experimentado por los padres en las Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales, actualmente existen unidades que no cumplen con las recomendaciones básicas sobre el cuidado de la familia y, por esto, el estrés de los padres continua en aumento. Sería preciso fomentar la formación del personal de enfermería para que este aspecto se modificara y se pudieran llevar a cabo cuidados de excelencia. Es cierto que las evidencias a nivel nacional en este tema son reducidas por lo que se propone una continuación de estudio en esta línea

The admission of a preterm child in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit produces a huge stress for their parents. This unit has been through various changes in its routines along the last years which include the Neonate Developmental Care and the Family Care. There are some interventions that benefit the baby and the parents; they could minimize the stress feeling. Objective: Identify the nurse interventions for the preterm parents stress in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Methodology: There has been made some bibliographic researches in the data bases Pubmed, Cinahl, Medline and Google académico and scholar. Conclusions: There is a need to develop interventions to decrease the parents stress in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Nowadays there are some units that don’t follow the family care basic recommendations; that is why the parents stress continues increasing. It would be needed to improve the nurse professional training so that this problem would be changed and excellence care could be practiced. It is true that the national evidences in this subject are limited so that it is proposed to continue studying in this line.
