La feminización de las migraciones en Filipinas: Cuerpos domésticos, activistas políticas

Abstract

El presente artículo trata del fenómeno migratorio en Filipinas, y de cómo la salida masiva de filipinos de su país de origen está relacionada con una cuidada estrategia de exportación de mano de obra por parte de los diferentes gobiernos que se han sucedido en el poder. Abordaremos también, la creciente feminización de este proceso y la puesta en cuestión que las experiencias de las mujeres migrantes suponen, para la concepción del migrante como héroe o heroína nacional

The article examines the phenomenon of migration in Philippines, and how the mass exodus of Filipinos from their country is related to a careful strategy of exporting labor on the part of the different governments that have succeeded in power. It will be also focused in the growing feminization of this process. And finally, we will pay attention to the way that the real experiences of migrant women address for the design of the migrant as a national hero or heroine
