Emotional dependence is a type of genuine interpersonal dependency whereby the individual tries to cover a series of emotional needs through the couple relationship. According to existing research, it would be a type of behavioral addiction, which leads people to take a submissive position in relationships. It causes significant discomfort in 2 those who suffer and interferes in various spheres of life of individuals, such as work or family and social relationships. People who suffer from this problem share a series of characteristics: low self-esteem and poor self-concept, fear and intolerance to loneliness, anxiety about separation, deficits in assertiveness, distorted beliefs about romantic love, poor awareness of the problem and disability to break the relationship despite the malaise that causes them. In the present work we propose an integrative treatment plan for emotional dependence after the breakup of the couple, focusing the problem as a type of behavioral addiction. It is proposed to address the different difficulties of the patient through training in different skills in order to provide tools to facilitate exposure to conditioned stimuli that trigger craving behaviors. It is considered of importance the use of an integrative treatment, containing both cognitive-behavioral elements, positive psychology and Mindfulnessen_US
