Unintentional injuries, more commonly known as “accidents”, are one of the principal causes of infant mortality worldwide. Owing to the time spent by children at school each day, a significant percentage of total injuries occur in the school environment, the most common being bangs and falls. Teachers, through their likelihood of being present in a child emergency situation, need to have sufficient knowledge and skills in first aid to be able to resolve such situations effectively, as well as being aware of the avoidable nature of accidents in order to create a safer school environment and thus reduce the incidence of injuries. In this work, a Health Education Project will be developed for teachers of Primary Education in the municipality of Majadahonda, which seeks to enable them to contribute in preventing the most common childhood accidents at school as well as how to act in emergency situations.en_US
