Estado, violencia y anarquismo

Abstract

La problematización de la violencia en relación con la adquisición y administración del poder, guarda una relación muy estrecha que cuenta con una extensa tradición en la teoría política. Entre los numerosos planteos que han abordado este problema, podemos circunscribirlo en torno a la pregunta: ¿En qué radica la relación entre la Fuerza y el Derecho? Pregunta que ha sido encarnada por los conceptos de “Comunidad Jurídica” y “Banda de ladrones”. También, en esta pregunta y en su cristalización, se halla la relación que tanto el Estado, como el Anarquismo guardan con la violencia. Ahora sí, trazaremos el siguiente itinerario, sin por ello excluir otros posibles: los primeros análisis en torno a este problema tienen un comienzo claro y contundente en la Antigua Grecia con Platón, continúa en el Imperio Romano con Agustín, se reformula en la Modernidad con Maquiavelo, Hobbes y Rousseau, en el Siglo XIX es retomado por el Anarquismo de Tucker, y a comienzos del Siglo XX, Barrett, para llegar finalmente hasta nuestros días, con Hans Kelsen, en Teoría Pura del Derecho. Todas estas teorizaciones ponen de relieve la ambos asociaciones se basan en el uso de la violencia para la instauración de su poder, salvo, sutiles diferencias. En relación con la violencia, Estado y Anarquismo, tienen una radical diferencia: para el Estado, no sólo es un elemento constitutivo, es decir, esencial, tal que, puede ser definido como la organización que ostenta el uso exclusivo y legítimo de la violencia, sino que, ha de recurrir a ella como medio para la mantención de su autoridad; en cambio, en la mayor parte de los casos, en los que el Anarquismo ha recurrido a la Violencia, esta ha sido utilizada, no para afianzar un poder, sino para combatir y, fundamentalmente disolver aquella fuente de autoridad, no para “tomar el poder”, ni para mantenerlo

In relation to violence, State and Anarchism, have a radical difference to the state, is not only a constituent element, that is, essential, such that it can be defined as the organization that has the exclusive and legitimate use of violence but it has to resort to it as a means of maintaining their authority; however, in most cases, where Anarchism has resorted to violence, this has been used, not to consolidate power, but to fight and essentially dissolve that source of authority, not to "take the power"
