Abstract
práctica pedagógica Educational reforms at the end of the last century show their impacts today. According to
Cornejo (2008) and Alonso (2014), the standardization of teaching work, work overload,
deterioration of the school environment and criticism of their work have led to a general
perception of loss of social prestige of the teacher. This situation fosters feelings of
frustration and abandonment that lead to the deterioration of self-image and self-esteem, as
effects of the lack of legitimate recognition of the teacher in the workplace, (Londoño, 2017,
p.14) with the aggravation of not having sufficient tools for the protection of their physical
and emotional integrity, nor for the adequate resolution of school conflicts, which result in
different forms of violence and poor school performance. (Cepal-Unicef, 2017 and UNESCO,
2016) Therefore, it is important to train students in self-confidence, self-respect and selfesteem,
areas of recognition that consolidate self-perception according to personal needs,
the educational environment and the international context. The experience shows how
through the game, the art and the writing, the future teachers manage to improve their
selfperception and that of their profession with excellent projection towards their pedagogical practice
