Abstract
The following communication summarizes the main ideas taken from the research that led
to my master’s final project. The study focuses on how the everydayness of certain urban
spaces can serve as components of social transformation. Following the theory of the
struggle for the recognition of Axel Honneth and the production of space and the daily life
of Henri Lefebvre, a categorical framework is created to contrast it with the neighborhood
reality of the Ca Favara garden in the Patraix de València neighborhood. Through the
critical analysis of the discourse, it will be observed that: 1) these places are spaces of
struggle for recognition and 2) in their day to day they represent a response to the liberal
city since, 3) they generate new values and transformative learning that finally, 4) guide
the subjects towards their social emancipation
