Abstract
Among them, the lessening of external costs of transport, together with tourism revitalization and diversification of the Spanish touristic supply. Intermodality would thus enhance the efficiency of the transport system. It would likewise allow transport operators and the tourism industry to offer integrated and ground-breaking products, adjusted to each customer in order to perfectly meet their needs.
This document examines the most relevant aspects of intermodality, as well as some of the initiatives implemented hitherto so as to identify the virtues and challenges of intermodality in tourism transportation. A management proposal for Tierras Altas in Soria from a touristic and sustainable standpoint is hereinafter submitted
