El patrimonio a través de la Educación Musical: Tratamiento y enfoque en el currículo de Educación Primaria

Abstract

According to the educational legislation Music Education has among its objectives the challenge of knowing, taking care and transmitting the cultural heritage, since music constitutes an irreplaceable part of it. It is in this context that this study takes place, which aims at analysing the way heritage is approached within Music Education in the 17 Autonomous Decrees or Orders which regulate the Primary Education curriculum in Spanish territory. The results show differences in the teaching load and in the presence of content related to musical heritage between the communities. An issue that should be borne in mind in curriculum revision processes, to achieve a Musical Education that grants that the new generations know, and therefore understand and value their musical legacy.

Según la legislación educativa la Educación Musical tiene entre sus objetivos el reto de conocer, conservar y transmitir el patrimonio cultural, ya que la música constituye una parte insustituible del mismo. En este contexto se desarrolla esta investigación, que tiene como objetivo analizar la presencia y el enfoque del patrimonio dentro de la Educación Musical en los 17 Decretos u Órdenes autonómicas que regulan el currículo de Educación Primaria en el territorio español. Los resultados muestran diferencias en la carga lectiva y en la presencia de contenidos relativos al patrimonio musical entre las comunidades. Este aspecto supone un punto de reflexión a tener en cuenta en los procesos de revisión curricular, para lograr una Educación Musical que garantice que las nuevas generaciones conozcan y, por tanto, comprendan y valoren su legado musical
