Intervención enfermera en el cumplimiento terapéutico de los trasplantes

Abstract

Introducción: Los trasplantes de órganos son un logro de la medicina del siglo XX y gracias ello, los pacientes trasplantados tienen una nueva oportunidad de vida. Requieren un tratamiento inmunosupresor complejo para conservar el injerto lo que conlleva, una adherencia terapéutica elevada para prevenir el rechazo. El tratamiento farmacológico tiene aspectos positivos para la vida del paciente, pero también algunos efectos secundarios. Para ello es necesario una educación sanitaria por parte de los profesionales sanitarios, para explicar y enseñar al paciente y su familia los nuevos estilos de vida y rutinas que debe de seguir tras recibir el órgano. La enfermera es el profesional que más tiempo pasa con el paciente por lo que, el más adecuado para el desarrollo de estas intervenciones. Objetivo: Determinar la eficacia de las intervenciones enfermeras en el cumplimiento terapéutico de los trasplantes. Método: Revisión bibliografía en bases de datos especificas en las Ciencias de la Salud: Pubmed, Scielo, Cuiden Plus y Cinalh. Se utilizó un lenguaje simple y controlado con ayuda del operador booleano “AND”. Resultados: Se seleccionó un total de 10 documentos sobre las intervenciones enfermeras en el cumplimiento terapéutico de los trasplantes, donde se pudo observar en diferentes documentos que el porcentaje de adherencia aumentaban en los grupos impartidos por enfermería frente a los grupos donde no recibían educación sanitaria. Conclusión: El personal de enfermería ejerce un papel educador y asistencial contribuyendo de forma positiva al éxito del trasplante, acompañando al paciente desde el inicio de la enfermedad hasta una mejora de la calidad de vida tras la intervención.

Introduction: Organ transplants are an achievement of twentieth-century medicine, due to this, transplant patients have new opportunities in their lives. They require a complex immunosuppressive treatment to conserve the graft, which entails a high therapeutic adherence to prevent rejection. The pharmacological treatment has positive aspects in their lives but also some side effects. This requires health education by health professionals to explain and teach the patient and his family new lifestyles and routines that should follow receiving the new organ. Nurses are the professionals who spend most of the time with the patients, that is the reason why they are the most appropriate professionals for the development of these interventions. Objetive: Determine the efficacy of nursing interventions in the therapeutic compliance of the transplants. Methodology: Bibliography review in specific databases in the Health Sciences: Pubmed, Scielo, Cuiden Plus and Cinalh. Controlled language was used with help of the Boolean operator "AND". Results: A total of 10 documents on nursing interventions in therapeutic compliance of transplants were selected. It was observed in different documents that the percentage of adherence increased in groups taught by nurse compared with the groups where health education was not received. Conclusions: Nursing profesionales play an important educative and assistance role contributing in positive ways to the success of the transplant, assisting the patient from the very beginning of the disease to an improvement in the quality of their life after the intervention.
